SolidWorks is a solid modelling computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) computer program published by Dassault Systems, that runs primarily on Microsoft Windows. The SOLIDWORKS® CAD software is a mechanical design automation application that lets designers quickly sketch out ideas, experiment with features and dimensions, and produce models and detailed drawings.
